What made you choose RVO-GHANA ORPHANAGE PROJECT?
I was searching for a combination of volunteering and travelling.

What AMAZED YOU?
The people in Ghana being so friendly and happy. The children really appreciate the volunteers being there. I really learned to appreciate the beautiful, simple things in life more. Playing with the kids, just makes your day.

What Cultural & Learning Activities did you take part in?
Especially the trip to Cape Coast was very nice. Beautiful beaches, time for shopping and getting to know the African culture with for example the slavery castles. A visit to the King of the village of Atasomanso was really unforgettable.

We also did some drum and dancing. First we watched a show from a local group, afterwards we could try our self. Fun assured.

What dID you miss most about your program?
All activities in the evening

Why do you think other people should VOLUNTEER IN GHANA THROUGH RVO-GHANA?
The RVO-staff is very kind and hard working. They are providing great support  to volunteers. You know you will have a safe and fun trip. Richmond, Boats, Baba, Bernard and Joe, thank u very much for everything. I am very happy to recommend RVO-Ghana to everyone.

what can you tell people about our hostfamilies ?
At Akosua’s place, it was very nice. We just became part of the family. Every day, they made us delicious European and Ghanaian food. In a very short time, you get to know the Ghanaian way of living, for example washing and clothing.  Thanks
Any advice for future volunteers ?
Just enjoy your time in Ghana!!!!! It will be a time you will never forget. The children will steal your heart! The 2 weeks really weren’t enough, I wish I could return immediately. This trip was everything I could have hoped for and even more than that.

RVO-Ghana, you are really doing an amazing thing, supporting the kids who need it and even build a new orphanage. I really hope I can be part of that again in the future.
