Arriving to Ghana, I really didn’t know what to expect.  It was hard to ease into the culture and way of life at first as it’s so different to home but our host family and R.V.O were so warm to us that we settled in quickly, and were able to gain so much from the country.  I now see that although poverty thrives and the schools and orphanages are in great need, there are so many beautiful things to  see and amazing cultures to experience

We were very comfortable to have chosen R. V. O to organize this trip.  Staff were always accessible and were able to answer all our questions. Also like that they are in touch with what is happening on the ground. In the orphanage in particular like the way funds are investing towards the orphanage construction. Richmond in particular worked so hard to have everything organized for us.

We have had an amazing experience in Ghana.  It has been an action packed 2 weeks.  All the extra talks in the evening and dancing and drumming programs. Etc. were very worthwhile and we appreciate all the organizing expecially we appreciated the air conditioned bus.  Sometimes free time needed for the student.
